All September, the Grants Pass Sister City Committee introduced you to Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, and the friendship our two cities share. This month, we’d like to invite you to learn alongside us. 🌼

As we prepare for a Día de Mu***os inspired First Friday on November 6, we’ll share the meaning behind some of the traditions you’ll see that evening.

Día de Mu***os is a time when families and communities remember people they love who have died. It can be full of color and joy, while still making room for grief and reflection.

We hope these posts spark your curiosity and that you’ll come meet our committee, experience what we’re creating with our downtown partners, and learn how you can be part of the Grants Pass–Autlán friendship. 🧡

We must protect our indigenous brothers and sisters. We honor the history, resilience and rich cultures of indigenous communities. May we continue to learn, respect and uplift their voices!
