"Why won't my new smart lock fit my door?" We hear it every week.

Usually it's not the lock. It's the door:

🔹 The deadbolt was already binding — a smart lock's little motor can't force it the way your wrist did.
🔹 The strike plate is out of line, so the bolt drags.
🔹 The door is thicker or thinner than the lock expects, or the hole is the wrong size.

The biggest piece of glass in your house has the smallest lock.

Sliding patio doors ship with a latch, not a lock — and most can be lifted or jiggled open by anyone who's watched one video.
