Laundry room that I finished off just recently. Although we’ve got some doors we wanna add to two of these units. I took a stab at painting these units myself. I was happy with the results although painting takes up more time than I’d like. My client came in with the assist on the staining. A very handy guy in his own right, it was nice to work around someone that can appreciate my level of care for details.

Haven’t had much time to post all the things I’ve been doing. This is something I was working on about two months ago. A simple way to hide your trash cans. HOA approved half wall for your unsightly containers.

For almost 20 years I had this track saw. Today it made its last cut as the motor burned its way through its final few inches of birch plywood. It surely has been a champ through all my cabinetry projects. Let’s hope its replacement has the same longevity.

A little peak at something that I worked on through the hottest days of the year. This Carolina heat is something else but it beats a Boston winter any day.

It’s been a bit of a journey but it’s at its end. Another pantry on the board.

Unsightly garbage bins hidden away.

Final results of the complete mess we found recently. Back to original form and far safer. One of the footing supports actually fell over when we were trying to repair everything. 😳 We were able to re use the doggy gate without heavy modification at the clients request. Which is what you see in gray in the first couple pictures. The gate, attached by exterior hinges, swings and rolls to close off the stair access for anyone with furry ones they wanna keep contained to the back yard. The deck just needs a couple grab rails for the stairs and this one is ready for rental.

Quick little spice added to the fireplace wall. Nickel gap paneling has gotten pretty popular over the years. Gives a space a bit of character.

Revisit to my favored clients home. This room is the opposite side of the pantry I extended for them. They did a great job decorating.

Follow up on my previous post. It just keeps getting worse. Inadequate fastening. Improper flashing that lead to severe rot and the deck itself pulling away from the home. Old patch and repair work. A framing technique that bypasses proper joist hangers. Lack of a doubled outside rim. Stair structure cut with improper dimensional Lumber. This deck is an absolute mess.
