Bring on the costumes, candy, and spooky fun! Before the little monsters head out, here are 10 ways to help keep your family safe and your home protected:
1. Light the way! 💡 Keep porches and walkways well lit and clear of cords, decorations, and other tripping hazards.
2. Keep your plans off social media! 📱 Save costume photos and check-ins for after you’re home to avoid letting strangers know your house is empty.
3. Lock up before you head out! 🔐 Secure doors and windows, close the garage, and arm your security system before leaving.
4. Keep an eye on your doorstep! 🎥 Use your cameras or video doorbell to check on visitors, and keep decorations from blocking the view.
5. Help costumes shine! 🌟 Add reflective tape and carry flashlights or glow sticks so drivers can spot your trick-or-treat crew.
6. Keep your crew together! 👻 Accompany younger children. For older kids, agree on a route, check-in times, and when to be home.
