Most reception counters are designed to do one job. This one was designed to make an entrance.
When this space came to us, the goal was simple: give the front desk a workspace that functions beautifully for the team behind it and looks stunning to everyone walking through the door. So we raised a transaction ledge above the main work surface and finished it with an angled waterfall end that slopes right down to the countertop. Thanks to mitered edges, the veining wraps around each corner and flows from one surface to the next, so it reads like one continuous piece of stone.
The result is a counter that's practical, polished, and full of personality. Sunlight pouring in through those big windows doesn't hurt either.
