CEDAR HAUS

Après ski, kids’ edition. Solid wood bunks and a color palette drawn from the surrounding landscape bring a distinctly mountain sensibility to the room. Pendleton blankets, a spot for movie nights, and custom patterned tile in the bath make this little retreat feel like a world of its own.

SLAB TO SCULPTURE

At Berkshire Hall, every mantel has a story to tell. Drawing on art, history, and the natural movement of the marble, each was imagined for its room and shaped into a work of art. Every curve, contour, and finish reflects the thought and craftsmanship behind a piece made only for this home.

Swipe from the finished piece to its beautiful beginning.

ALID x HOMES & GARDENS

We’re so excited to share that Berkshire Hall’s laundry room is featured in Homes & Gardens!

Wrapped in a botanical wallpaper, this little room makes a lovely case for pattern in unexpected places. Painted trim plays off the shades of greens, while warm wood, natural stone, and original art give you plenty to admire between loads.

Thank you to Homes & Gardens for the beautiful feature.

WRITTEN IN THE STARS

In the AvantGarden library, a celestial ceiling inspired by Grand Central Station sets the scene for marquetry flooring, a spiral staircase, and Art Nouveau-inspired finishwork.

We can’t wait to watch this space come to life.

AFTER HOURS

A home we know well, in a whole new light. At Tiger Oak, bright white makes way for a color drench of deep purple. The saturated backdrop mixes with bold pattern to bring an unexpected edge. Swipe for the before, then a little more of the after.

LOOKING UP

At AvantGarden, the ceilings are getting their own moment. The lounge, great room, and cabana each take on a different expression, bringing the room’s personality into the architecture overhead.

SOMETHING BLUE

Just off the bar, a party pantry in peacock blue lacquer makes room for everything our client needs to host beautifully. Traditional mouldings meet seamless cabinetry, while a little gloss brings a fresh perspective to the classic detailing. A practical addition to Chestnut Row, dressed in our client’s favorite color.

MANTEL MATERIAL

A closer look at the marble mantel in Berkshire Hall’s great room. Calacatta Paonazzo marble, grand proportions, and the precision it takes to bring the two together. From the early concepts to the slabs laid out piece by piece, every curve and joint is part of the design.

HISTORIC AVENUES ART SCENE

Some homes have so much to say before we ever begin. Built in 1896 in Salt Lake City’s historic district, this home still has its original finishwork, flooring, and even door hinges, a beautiful starting point for a new chapter. We brought a little gloss to the story with newly lacquered living and dining rooms and remodeled kitchen, giving the home a fresh point of view while keeping its history close.

Come take a look inside!

THE ART OF IT

Our kind of art? The kind you get to live in. For AvantGarden, we’re drawing from art, fashion, and the unexpected connections between them. A slab inspires a palette, a runway look sends us searching for the perfect textile, and every visit brings another detail into focus. There’s a whole world of decisions behind a room that feels entirely your own.
