Still using metal halide lighting? 💡

Metal halide fixtures are still common in warehouses, shops, parking lots, gyms, and other commercial or industrial spaces — but there are a few signs it may be time to consider an LED replacement.

Watch for:

• Slow warm-up or restrike times
• Lamps that are noticeably dimmer than they used to be
• Frequent lamp or ballast failures

• High maintenance in hard-to-reach locations

Not all white light looks the same. 💡

One of the most common questions we get is what color temperature to use for a commercial or industrial space.

A few common options:

• 3000K — warmer, softer appearance
• 3500K — neutral with a slightly warm feel
• 4000K — clean, balanced white light
• 5000K — brighter, cooler daylight appearance
• 6500K — very cool, blue-white light for specialty applications

The right choice depends on the space, the task, and the look you’re trying to achieve.

For example, warmer color temperatures are often used in restaurants, churches, retail, and hospitality spaces, while 4000K–5000K is common in offices, warehouses, shops, work areas, and parking lots.

Project Spotlight: Pence Place 💡

Dyna-Brite Lighting supplied the light poles and LED fixtures for the site lighting at Pence Place, a new residential development in Dickson, Tennessee.

The poles and fixtures are being installed throughout the neighborhood to help provide efficient roadway and common-area lighting as construction continues.
