🎃🍫 13 Days of Spooky Season Day 8: Pinus strobus 'Hershey'! 🍫🎃

Trick or treat? How about a little tree-t instead! Today’s spooky spotlight is Pinus strobus ‘Hershey’! 🍫 Forget the candy bar, we’re unwrapping something even sweeter! With a name like ‘Hershey,’ this conifer is the perfect fit for our spooky season vibes. Who knew spooky season could be so deliciously evergreen? Pinus strobus 'Hershey' is a dwarf Eastern White Pine with a small, flat growth habit. 'Hershey' has attractive blue-green foliage and often develops many cones. 'Hershey' is a slow growing tree that only grows to a couple feet tall at maturity.

💬 Tell us in the comments: What’s your all-time favorite Halloween candy? And would you trade a handful of treats for a ‘Hershey’? 🌲🍫

👀 Keep following along for Day 9 of our 13 Days of Spooky Season. There are more hauntingly fun things coming your way!

💀🍁 13 Days of Spooky Season Day 7: Acer palmatum 'Skeleton Reach'! 🍁💀

The skeletons have come out to show off their killer dance moves and they’ve found their perfect partner! 🦴🕺 Today’s spooky spotlight: Acer palmatum ‘Skeleton Reach’! 🌿Acer palmatum 'Skeleton Reach' is a Japanese maple with white reticulated variegation. 'Skeleton Reach' has some of the brightest white color to its leaves in the spring of any Japanese maple. Theses white leaves have green veins giving the foliage the reticulated look. These leaves will turn to a light green by summer but maintain the reticulation with darker green veins. 'Skeleton Reach' is going to provide a bright color all year long and eventually turn a bright yellow-orange in the fall. 'Skeleton Reach' has long, skinny leaves with jagged edges like many of the "ghost" Japanese maples. This unusual leaf shape coupled with the bright white color make 'Skeleton Reach' one of the most fascinating Japanese maples currently on the market. 'Skeleton Reach' is also known as 'Sweet Lucile' and the names have been used interchangeably.

These bony dancers are reaching for the stars or maybe just reaching for another Japanese maple! 😂💀 With a name like ‘Skeleton Reach,’ this variety is right at home among the spooky sights at Maple Ridge Nursery!

👻 We’re officially on Day 7 of our 13 Days of Spooky Season! Keep following along for more frightfully fun Japanese maples and conifers!

Most of these liners are quite large but we are more than happy to provide pictures of any liners you might be interested in, just let us know.
Any liners you purchase will be potted up and shipped in 1 gallon pots. Just know that they will have the roots of a liner at the moment.
