If you saw me at High Point Market last week, I was probably on the floor.
Flicking light switches until the showroom staff started to wonder about me. Opening (and re-opening) drawers to check the joinery and make sure they close softly, every time. Flipping rugs to see how they’re made underneath. And sitting in just about every sofa and chair to feel the depth, the cushion, and whether it’s a seat you’d actually want to sink into after a long day.
It might look a little obsessive, but this is a part of my job I love. A photo online can’t tell you how a sofa will feel on movie night, how a drawer will hold up after five years of school mornings, or whether a rug will keep its shape under a busy dining table. I want to know before anything comes into your home.
Because a sanctuary isn’t just beautiful on install day. It’s a home that still feels calm, comfortable, and cared for years from now.
My Full-Service and Styled for Living clients never have to wonder about any of this. I’ve already checked.
If you’re dreaming of a home that’s made to last, I’d love to hear about it.
