Behind the Scenes at a Job Site: Building a Coffered Ceiling with Master Carpenter Brian and his team!

It’s pretty cool when you understand all of the care, detail, and craftsmanship that go into trimwork. The high cost of custom trim and cabinetry not only comes from the materials, but also from the time and expertise involved.

I LOVE Lee’s tile advice here- it’s all about PLANNING! And this applies to anything in home construction, not just tile. Like he says in this video, failing to plan is costly. 📈

The cost is not just money- it’s about the time you lose and the headache a bad situation can cause for you. This advice sounds simple, sure. For those of us working in this industry every day, though, you would not believe how often we see clients rush into a project and end up in a bad situation. That’s why we all get on our soapboxes about the importance of PLANNING! 🔨

We sat down with Lee from Carolina Tile & Stone to learn more about the company, their approach to their work, and what makes them such a valuable resource for both industry professionals and any homeowners considering a tile project.

While they offer a large tile selection, their offerings extend to natural stone slabs and designer wallpaper. With a strong commitment to the design trade, their team specializes in sourcing and procuring unique materials that you may not see online.

Their premium selections include tile from Artistic Tile, Bespoke, ARTO, Lunada Bay, and Daltile, along with wallpaper from Schumacher, Cowtan & Tout, York, Thibaut, Phillip Jeffries, Kravet, Romo, and Milton & King.

For homeowners or contractors who aren’t already working with a design firm, Carolina Tile & Stone has an in-house design team to assist with material selections.
Make sure to stop by their showroom in Cornelius, NC, near Lake Norman.

Meet the Team: Winnie, Chief Morale Officer.
Winnie takes her role as Phase One’s Chief Morale Officer very seriously. Her daily responsibilities include greeting all who walk through the door with a big smile, supervising snack breaks, and making sure office morale stays high.

When she’s not at work, Winnie loves a walk at Soda City with her human Stephanie and enjoying
the company of her cat brother, Handsome Ted and doggie sister Darla.
