On October 28, Principal and Director of Sustainable Design Travis Soberg, AIA, LEED AP, will present “Developing Identity: Addressing the Duality of Design within Master Plan Projects.” This presentation will explore how to create distinctive, culturally responsive urban environments within large-scale master plans while balancing cohesion, density and the vitality of authentic urban life, using three projects in China, Saudi Arabia and the UAE to examine how site, program and vision inform unique design solutions that support the broader goals of a master plan.
The VU Summit brings together global leaders in architecture, engineering and urban development to exchange ideas and explore the future of vertical urbanism. Through discussions on design, innovation and the built environment, the Summit examines how cities can evolve while creating distinctive, connected and enduring urban places.
