Classic sensibilities with a bold contemporary edge, and one unexpected thing in every room to keep it from feeling decorated.

Our client collects art, so the room had one job: make her collection look as good as it deserves. The walls went deep and moody so the piece over the bed could go completely off, and the classic bones underneath keep it from turning into a gallery you are afraid to sit down in.

The old stuff is what people ask about every single time, and at our Lawn Ave Eclectic project there is no shortage of questions.

In the family room, a mid-century space age sofa takes center stage, now wearing the most perfect chartreuse velvet, sitting next to a vintage floor lamp that needed rewiring before it could do anything besides look good. Both live in a house with two kids and a standing invitation, so they had to actually work.

Start with what you found, not what you ordered.

Office most days of the week, guest room whenever someone’s parents are in town. If you only have one spare room, make it do both jobs and do them both properly.

If you have to work from home, it may as well be a little theatrical.

Leaning into all the fall vibes at our Lawn Ave Eclectic project...

The smallest room in the house and, somehow, the most adored.

The powder room at our Loft Off Ohio project started as a quick sketch with two options, and the second one won. A small room is a good place to take a risk. Guests are only in there for a few minutes, so you might as well give them something to remember.

A family room built for the long haul: moody grays, layered texture, and a little collegiate spirit on the walls. Pennants from home, a fireplace made for winter, and seating that invites you to stay a while.

Grove Avenue, all settled in.

I’ve always been a fan of this color, so I’m so here for it’s comeback.

Are you loving Chartreuse as much as I am?!
