Say hello to My Alfajor! 🇦🇷🥟🍫

They’re bringing the flavors of Latin America to the DMV with some seriously creative empanadas and alfajores — and they make great food while looking pretty cool doing it! 😎

Their empanadas go way beyond the traditional. You can find classics like Argentinian beef alongside creative flavors like Indian butter chicken and their Asian-Peruvian-inspired Lomo. And if you’re looking for something meat-free, their Veggies & Cheese empanada brings plenty of flavor to the table. 🌎🔥

Then there are the alfajores — soft, delicate cookies filled with rich dulce de leche and available in delicious flavors like dark chocolate, white chocolate, mocha, and red velvet. 🍪🤎

And one of the things we love is that they keep things fresh and exciting with seasonal empanadas and alfajores, giving you even more reasons to see what they’re cooking up next! 👀

🍝 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: PASTA IL GATTO 🇮🇹❤️

Meet Chef Leonardo Rebollo, better known as Leo or “El Gato,” the passionate chef and founder behind Pasta Il Gatto!

Born in Montevideo, Uruguay, Chef Leo’s love for homemade pasta began in his grandmother Irma’s kitchen, where he grew up surrounded by the aromas, flavors, and traditions of family cooking. Those early memories sparked a passion that would eventually become his dream business.

In 2020, he took a meaningful step toward reconnecting with his roots by founding Pasta Il Gatto, with a mission to bring the tradition of fresh, handmade pasta back to the family table. Inspired by the recipes and techniques passed down through generations, Leo is dedicated to creating pasta that celebrates authenticity, craftsmanship, and the love that goes into homemade food.

At Frontier Kitchen in Lorton, VA, we’re proud to support passionate food entrepreneurs like Chef Leo as they bring their vision to life and share their culinary traditions with the community.

Today we’re shining a spotlight on Black Cat Pizza, a Pittsburgh-area pop-up serving Roman-style pizza at events and pop-ups throughout the community.

One of my favorite parts of being at Frontier Kitchen is getting to know the people behind the businesses we work with and watching them turn their ideas into something real. Black Cat Pizza is a great example of that, and we’re genuinely grateful to have them as part of the Frontier Kitchen family.

Remember when Turmerica shared where she hoped her business would be in the next few years? 👀✨
Well… sometimes the goals we set for the future arrive sooner than we imagined.
What started with a vision, a lot of hard work, persistence, and a dream to continue growing has reached an exciting new chapter.
Turmerica has officially opened its SECOND restaurant! 🎉
On September 23rd, that vision became a reality—and we couldn’t be more excited to see how far the journey has come.
This is what growth looks like. Not overnight. Not without challenges. But through continuing to show up, believe in the vision and in yourself, and take the next step.
