Gift Shop & Coworking Space in Downtown Cary By Designer Michelle Smith • Gather Goods Co is an online shop with a focus on gifts for the home, garden & self.

We are based in downtown Cary, North Carolina. Our shop features a curated selection of well made artisanal gift products: local foods, bath salts and oils, plants and terrariums, jewelry, apparel and accessories for men and women, note cards and local foods, the majority of which are made by North Carolina designers. In addition, we host craft, food, gardening and business classes at locations around the Triangle. SHOP

The majority of goods carried by Gather are made by micro artisan / maker entrepreneurs meaning goods made by emerging business owners who hand-craft or manufacture their goods in small quantities. Gather’s owner Michelle is herself a maker entrepreneur who specializes in textiles, and home goods. Michelle’s goal is to elevate the work of these makers so that Gather’s customers appreciate the value of the product they are purchasing and the time and care that went into the making of each piece.

Some recent inspiration: the totally mind melting movie You Can See Everything (so many thoughts)! Paper mache candy buckets from John Derian Company, local shops and restaurants including Durham Vintage Collective. All the spice cakes. A humbling third attempt at wheel thrown pottery. Whimsical and weird illustrations by Emily Isabella. Landscaping and interior design by sugarhousedesign and these bonkers ceramic tiles by Riwal Ceramika i Szkło | CERAMIKA | SZKŁO FUSING | MANUFAKTURA. You can see more inspo on our Gather Goods Co blog at the bottom of our main website.

Just cozy little shop snap. We’re open every Tuesday-Sunday 11am-5pm and online anytime. Love that bright sunshine through the windows ☀️

PS come grab a free flower stem or two with every in-store purchase in the shop with leftovers from our flower arranging class…while supplies last!

I left all the cleanup from last night’s flower arranging class to this morning (because who wants to do a deep clean at 9pm) and finished up just in time for Studio Xio, one of our community coworkers, to show up and start using the space. 🥰

Last night’s pumpkin flower arranging class was super fun and satisfying. I love seeing everyone make beautiful arrangements to take home and learning new techniques that they can apply to any arrangement in the future. It’s also fun to just trust the process and lean into our intuition and make things with our hands alongside others. It just feels good! Upcoming classes in November include a beaded bag charm class on Tues Nov 3rd at 6pm, an evergreen wreath making class on Mon Nov 9th at 6pm, a candle making and tarot card reading class on Mon Nov 16 at 6pm, a Thanksgiving flower arranging class on Sat Nov 21 at 11am and a dried flower wreath making class on Mon Nov 30 at 6pm. As with all classes, space is limited, so sign up early to secure your spot.

Coming on here to share about the surprise 30% off sale in-person and online today-Sunday. This will be the lowest sale all year, and it’s a great time to get ahead of things before things start to get chaotic later in the year. Literally everything is on sale, so that includes gift cards, classes, fragrances, candles, cookbooks, etc - If you’re a mahjong aficionado, then I would absolutely buy one of the more expensive things now, like tiles, racks, mats, etc but also it’s just a really good time to stock up on anything that you love in the shop. As always, thank you so much for your support. 💗💗
