44 years ago, I watched the 7th game of the World Series, as a Junior in high school, and I cried when we lost to the St. Louis Cardinals. I remember my mom calling my school to say I would be absent due to the parade and pep rally for the Brewers in downtown Milwaukee and County Stadium (she was our superintendent’s administrative assistant, by the way). It was declared an “unexcused absence”, and I would need to suffer my first detention ever for the Brew Crew. Well, that detention hall was filled with students wearing Brewers attire with pride!

Today, I spent the day celebrating the World Series win with my husband and one of our two grandsons as the same festivities proceeded. Thank you, Milwaukee Brewers, for making many happy memories for my family and me!
