Nothing will stop Artistic Elements 💪🏻

Sometimes I get so caught up in what needs to happen next that I forget how much has already happened.

Putting this post together reminded me that so many things I worry about today would have made my younger self incredibly excited. There’s still so much I want to do. But I think the little girl in these photos would want me to enjoy this part too 🤍

What’s something in your life today that your younger self would be amazed by?

Something I don’t think designers talk about enough is how much goes wrong before a project looks right.

We share the beautiful reveals, our favorite details, and the spaces we’re proud of. And I love sharing those with you. But it’s easy to look at someone’s finished work and assume they always know exactly what they’re doing.

Honestly, sharing this side feels a little uncomfortable. I care deeply about my work, and it’s much easier to post something I’m proud of than something I wish I’d done differently. But I want to be honest about what it took to get here, including the mistakes I had to own and figure out how to fix.

Some lessons took more time, money, and stress than I’d like to admit. Sharing them is my way of making that experience useful to someone else. If you’re building your career in design, you don’t have to learn everything the hard way—or figure it all out on your own.

So today, I’m showing you a few of my flops, what they taught me, and what I’d do differently now. Hopefully, something in this carousel helps you catch a mistake before it becomes your own 🤍

Send this to a friend who needs the closet of their dreams 💫

Some people think a closet is just storage, but to my clients, it’s where the day starts.

So we actually begin with a closet questionnaire, not finishes, not colors, questions about your life. How many shoes? Do you hang your jeans? Or fold them? How many bags do you reach for every week, not someday, now?

Then we do the exact layout. Hanging, shelves, drawers, lighting, all of it. So you’re not fighting with your closet every morning.

What would it feel like to get dressed in a space that finally fits how you live?

We also designed her husband’s closet and it has a totally different personality.
