Iron Roots Design has changed quite a bit since opening in 2017.

The original version of this studio has grown into something much different than we planned for. What started as a metal fabrication company evolved to include residential interiors, restaurant and hospitality design, more custom work, and now has an even clearer point of view about the kinds of spaces we want to create.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about what it means for the identity of a business to change alongside the work. We’ll be sharing more on that soon!

It’s been five years since this custom home design on the and I got to see my clients recently. They told me all about how their family has grown, how much they’re still enjoying the house, and all the memories they’ve made. It was incredible.

I’ll be honest, I needed the reminder this week. The why, that there’s still gracious individuals out there, that interiors aren’t just for fun but they also improve the lives of our clients and their families. So, thank you to those clients for sharing such a gift with me today ❤️

If only we could manage to get before and afters of every one of our projects. Luckily, we have a few to share from The Grove House!

Our clients had young kids and struggled with the closed concept floor plan. They wanted to make the space feel more expansive while improving the sense of connection and flow throughout.

The Plan: Rotate the kitchen, open up the dining room, reimagine the surrounding doors and windows to bring the forest setting right into their great room.
