WHAT IF YOUR NEXT JOB TAUGHT YOU A TRADE?

Integrity Latch & Key is offering paid, hands-on field training in locksmithing and door hardware throughout the Beaufort, Bluffton, and Ridgeland areas.

You don't need to arrive as a locksmith.

I'm looking for people who are mechanically curious, dependable, respectful of customers and their property, and willing to learn by doing.

You'll work directly with me, learning practical skills in homes and businesses across the Lowcountry.
Training leads to supervised assignments, then to independent fieldwork as your skill, confidence, and judgment develop.

We train for independence.

There's flexibility in when you make yourself available. But once you commit to an assignment, showing up and following through are nonnegotiable.

After paid training, earning potential grows with skill, responsibility, and the work you complete. The right person can build something meaningful here.

This is an opportunity to develop a valuable trade, take pride in your work, and grow with a locally owned business.

If you enjoy figuring things out, working with your hands, and treating people right, I'd like to hear from you.

🔐 FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN OPPORTUNITY — INTEGRITY LATCH & KEY

Beaufort • Bluffton • Hilton Head • Ridgeland & Surrounding Lowcountry

Integrity Latch & Key is expanding, and I’m looking NOW for dependable, mechanically capable people who want an opportunity to learn valuable skills, earn based on what they can do, and grow with a local company.

This is NOT a sit-around-and-wait-for-a-paycheck position.

I’m looking for people who answer the phone, show up when they say they will, work with their hands, solve problems, communicate professionally, and can eventually handle service calls independently.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

🔹 Residential and commercial lockouts
🔹 Rekeys and lock changes
🔹 Lock and door hardware installation
🔹 Basic troubleshooting and repair
🔹 Residential, commercial and property-management service calls
🔹 Emergency/on-call work

Experience in this field is NOT required for the right person.

If you are mechanically inclined, comfortable using tools, learn quickly, communicate well, and can be trusted in customers’ homes and businesses, I CAN TEACH THE REST.

WHAT I CARE ABOUT MOST

✅ Dependability
✅ Mechanical ability
✅ Common sense and problem-solving
✅ Professional appearance and communication
✅ Reliable transportation
✅ Valid driver’s license
✅ Smartphone
✅ Ability to pass required background screening
✅ Willingness to work evenings/weekends when needed
✅ Ability to work independently once trained

❌ NO DRAMA.
❌ NO EXCUSES.
❌ NO DISHONESTY.

This is trust-based work.

Our customers trust us with their homes, businesses and security. I need people I can trust to represent Integrity Latch & Key the right way when I am not standing beside them.

COMPENSATION

This is service-call-based work with compensation tied to completed jobs — not minimum-wage busywork.

More difficult calls, nights, weekends, holidays, longer-distance calls, commercial work and additional work performed on site can mean higher compensation.

The goal is simple:

THE MORE CAPABLE, DEPENDABLE AND INDEPENDENT YOU BECOME, THE MORE VALUABLE YOU BECOME.

There is room here for the right people to grow beyond basic field work as Integrity Latch & Key continues expanding.

HOW TO APPLY

PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE BUSINESS SERVICE LINE ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY.

There are parts of Beaufort’s history that were never written down.

They lived in small rooms, behind two way glass, on worn floors—carried forward by the people who showed up, did the work, and left different than they came in.

In the 1970s and 80s, one of those places operated quietly in Beaufort, SC under the name Rogers Karate Studio.

At the time, it was Tang Soo Do, operated by Larry Rogers—an early student of Chuck Norris. But it was also tied directly into something that was just beginning to form—the early foundation of what would become the United Fighting Arts Federation (UFAF), under Chuck Norris as President and Pat Johnson as Vice President.

From the outside, it would have been easy to miss.
A small studio. Limited space. Fewer black belts than any other.

But that was the point.
Standards were high. Advancement was slow. Belts weren’t bought, and they weren’t given to keep people around. They were earned—over time, under pressure, and with the understanding that rank meant something beyond the belt itself.

The instruction wasn’t secondhand.
It came through a direct line—through one of the early black belts in the system, trained alongside names that would go on to become widely recognized: Norris, Johnson, Howard Jackson, Bob Wall. From time to time, those same figures would pass through, reinforcing what was already being built inside that room.
Not as spectacle. Just as continuity.

What came out of that small studio reached far beyond it.
Students carried those standards into competitions, into other schools, into their lives. The influence spread quietly—through discipline, through expectations, and through the way people chose to handle themselves when it mattered.

Most of it was never recorded.
And over time, it’s easy for something like that to fade—not because it wasn’t important, but because it didn’t ask to be seen.

But it was there.

And in its own way, it reflects something larger.

The same values that built a global name—discipline without shortcuts, standards without compromise—were being practiced daily, in a small room in Beaufort, by people who had no interest in recognition.
That kind of influence doesn’t disappear.
It just becomes part of the place.

Somewhere around Beaufort, there’s almost always a tree like this.

A live oak leaning out over the marsh just far enough to make it perfect. Perfect for climbing. Perfect for jumping. Perfect for tying a rope swing that probably shouldn’t have held.

Trees like this launch more homemade rafts than any boat ramp ever will. Palmetto forts go up nearby. Sticks turn into swords. Entire wars are fought between the roots and branches while the tide slides in and out beneath them.

The marsh is the playground. The oak limbs are the towers. Every kid becomes a pirate, a soldier, or an explorer depending on the day.

Nobody needs a clock. Around here, you just learn to watch the tide and the light over the marsh.

When the mosquitoes start showing up and the sun drops behind the trees, everybody knows it’s time to head home.

In Beaufort, trees like this still matter.
Because somewhere along a creek or on a quiet bluff, a kid is probably standing on a branch just like that one right now…
deciding whether to jump.

Some Places Ask More of You

Beaufort has always been a place people arrive at differently.
Some grew up here.
Some found it later.
Most stayed for reasons they never bothered to name.

Houses that have seen weather.
Streets that slow you down.
Doors that don’t close quite the same when the tide is high.
For a long time, that was enough.
Things didn’t need explaining.
You picked it up by living here — by paying attention.

As the town has grown, more of Beaufort has been named, mapped, and improved.
That’s not wrong.
Growth always brings change.
But what lasts here has never been the shine.
It’s been the care.
The way places hold meaning when people treat them like something to look after, not rush through.

Beaufort still has that in it.
In the quiet moments.
In the parts that ask you to slow down.
However you came here, that’s still the invitation.

Baldwin entry hardware doesn’t usually fail — it degrades.

In the Lowcountry, salt air, humidity, and temperature swings accelerate internal contamination and oxidation inside precision lock hardware. Over time, this buildup causes mechanical interference that can lead to sticking or incomplete return.

This entry set was fully disassembled, cleaned, corrected, and lubricated using products appropriate for high-quality lock mechanisms operating in a coastal environment.

Replacement isn’t always required. In many cases, proper service restores function and extends the usable life of premium hardware.
