We had such a fun morning with the children of West Elementary School 😊.

We learned about the pumpkin life cycle, and each child got to take a seed straight from a pumpkin and planted. 🌱

We also sat together under the papaya tree and learned how a tiny seed can grow into a big tree that produces fruit. What a beautiful way to learn about nature!

It was an absolute joy spending the morning with these wonderful kids. We are so grateful to the West Elementary School staff for thinking in us to be part of their fall adventures! 🍂❤️

WHY EVERY ARKANSAS GARDEN NEEDS A FIG TREE!

👉🏼Love fresh, homegrown fruit? Fig trees are a fantastic choice for Arkansas! They’re beautiful, productive, and once established, relatively low maintenance. Enjoy delicious figs right from your own backyard!

YES, YOU CAN PLANT THEM THIS FALL! 🍂 Planting early enough in the season allows roots to establish before winter, especially when the ground is still workable.

❄️ WINTER CARE TIPS:
1. Apply 3–4 inches of mulch around the root zone, keeping it away from the trunk.
2. Water during dry periods before the ground freezes.
3. Protect young trees during severe cold with burlap or a frost blanket.

✨ Start growing your own delicious figs and enjoy the rewards for years to come!

Stop by Rooted Nursery & Landscaping Service and let us help you grow something delicious!
