As I *always* buy the concert tee, I decided that since I'm trying to teach myself how to sew, instead of altering some with crochet I'd try altering them by sewing. My rule was that I could only use items I already have OR ones that I thrifted, nothing new. This was my first one and combined a Three Days Grace tee, a flannel I had and a thrifted ($1.50!) mens hoodie. Pretty happy with how it came out today too!

Ok fellow hookers and sewists- I have materials and no inspiration. Help me out.
+4 skeins, roughly 700 yards, of a vintage 40 wool\60 acrylic fi*****ng yarn. It's sorta itchy so a wearable seems not great.
+ Full sized flannel top sheet and pillow cases. Added some to a pair of jeans but idk what to do with the rest
+ 6 pairs of jeans that are too big, but already hemmed to my very short height so donating them seems unlikely. How can I repurpose them in a not cheesy way? Help!

Haven't been able to share projects lately because I'm already working on Xmas gifts 🤐🤐🤐 Took a break from that yesterday and this evening to work on my sewing skills (still not nailing it just yet) by taking an old pair of jeans and putting new twist on them. I like them, even if you can't look too close at the work 😂

Long time, no posts! Gotta take advantage of summer in New England when you can get it haha. Just finished take two of my snuggy\hoodie with a neck warmer and built in mittens (yeahhhh currently accepting suggestions for a real name for this creation) after someone wanted one after borrowing the one I made for myself.

When we travel, we like to find *the* diviest of dive bars....and when we went to my dream destination (NoLa), the bro took us to the BEST dive bar I've ever been to. It was honestly my favorite night of our entire trip, and when the cheap tank top I bought began to disintegrate this year, I needed to save it. So I bought some cheap jersey-sweat shorts, cut out the logo, reinforced it with some backing and tried my hand at embroidery haha. I'm happy with the results for my first time, and if they last another year or two I'll be happy!

When the EIGHTEEN YEAR OLD wants an axiltol themed graduation party (yes, you read that correctly) and then specifically asks to do pin the tail on the axiltol, but you can't find any, you get creative 😂🤷 it'll be pin the grad cap on the axiltol but I think it will suffice.

Kid asked me if I could come up with some sort of strap for her roller skates a few weeks ago. She liked it and said it worked great and then, of course, asked if I'd make another one for her friend lol. Round two

Remember that time I vehemently refused to make the HS Varsity Baseball team hacky sacks and said "nope, not making any for the boys"? 😬😬😬 Nobody tell them, but I lied. Turned out there's one exception to my rule....and he had to try so hard to get me to say yes 🤷😂🤷😂🤷

Had some extra cotton yarn so I upgraded my cars cupholder coasters 💕💕💕 Absorbs all the sweating and spillage that comes with my New England iced coffee addiction and then I toss them in the wash.
