Almost everyone has one. Sometimes it is a sweater, sometimes a coat that is slightly too formal, boots that pinch, a scarf someone gave you. The item changes. The pattern does not. It gets moved, it gets stored, it takes up space, and it never gets worn.
October is the easiest month to catch it, because you are handling all of it anyway. One rule as the bins come out: if you skipped it all last winter, it does not go back in the drawer.

So what is it for you? I have a feeling a lot of us have this sweater or something like it.

Usually the system failed because there's too many steps. If putting something away takes four steps, it won't survive a busy Tuesday. Good systems are lazy on purpose.
