Know the difference between a good builder and a bad builder.
Mistakes happen. How you handle them is what matters.
In a custom home, there are thousands of moving pieces that have to be coordinated between dozens of trades. Things move fast, and occasionally something gets missed.
Last night, we realized our crew had covered this ceiling before we were able to insulate the conditioned space above it.
We had two choices: ignore it and hope it never became a problem or fix it the right way.
So before the insulation crew arrived, we tore the ceiling back out.
A little extra labor and a few sheets of Hardie today potentially saved thousands of dollars in headaches down the road.
A good builder isn't one who claims mistakes never happen. A good builder catches them, owns them, and fixes them, even when the homeowner may never have known the difference.*
Now we can move forward knowing it was done right, and more importantly, so can our clients.
That's what building with integrity looks like.
