Spring Perennials still doing the heavy lifting but the roses are poised!

We are open Sunday the 8th November and the garden will be lovely! Hundreds of old fashioned roses to see and sniff! Plus one of the counties most comprehensive collections of David Austin roses from across the decades.

Nursery open and well stocked with hardy treasures.

We are open tomorrow! Alot of treasures in the nursery.
A side note, we are in need of plant pots to reuse in the nursery if you have any laying around!

A few pretty things today (what a day ☀️) and a reminder that this Sunday we are OPEN! Come see the garden and plant nursery.

Dahlia Mania! Word on the street is that Dahlias are the it plant this season and so they should be! We have several varieties available as large potted corms (ones below included) this coming Sunday at our open day! Nursery has a great range of plants and garden is well worth a spring stroll around!

Today in the garden.
Babiana, a common but underrated south African bulb also known as the blue Fresia. A gorgeous and tough one for spring, loves a dry bank.

Erysimum, perennial wall flowers are a superb group of plants, they have short lives as they exhaust themselves with flowers but take easily from cuttings so we keep them going.

Lavender, the Queen. A beacon right now! Though we love the old and species plant varieties here the modern hybrids have many merits!

We had an awesome turn out for our first open day of the season! We are open again on the 11th October, fresh stock and garden will be really getting going.

Laurel in her natural habitat..
Rain, wind and snow (ok maybe not snow) this one woman army has been a w**d weapon the last few months, keeping the garden in check. Big thanks to Laurel!
