October Project | Te Miro 📍

A job with a view!

Working alongside Burton Fencing at the top of Te Miro, installing a post-and-rail perimeter fence around the MediaWorks transmission tower.

The new fencing helps protect the site while providing easy access for maintenance and servicing.

A great project to be involved in, with some pretty incredible views along the way!

📍 Whitehall, Waikato | October

Another boundary fence completed in Whitehall, working alongside Burton Fencing!

This job involved installing a new 8-wire fence with battens to separate two neighbouring farms.

With plenty of rolling hills to work across, the aim was to create a strong, reliable boundary that follows the lay of the land and will stand the test of time.

Always satisfying to look back and see a tidy fence line stretching across the countryside!

A little introduction to the people behind J B Rural Fencing!

For those who are new here, we're Joseph and Belinda, the husband-and-wife team behind J B Rural Fencing! 👋

Joseph is the man out on the tools, with over 10 years of fencing experience, while I'm the one behind the scenes looking after our social media and sharing all his hard work!

We're based in Rotorua and proudly service rural Waikato and Bay of Plenty.

We thought it was about time we introduced ourselves properly and shared a little more about who we are and how J B Rural Fencing came about.

Thanks so much for following along and supporting our little business. We really do appreciate it!

📍 Horahora, Waikato | September Project 🐑

Not a bad spot to spend a few days fencing!

September took us to a sheep farm in Horahora, right on the banks of the Waikato River, where we installed new fencing to keep stock away from the waterways.

The job involved installing an 8-wire fence, including 3 electric wires, along with gates to allow easy access around the property.

With the fence line following the riverbank, the aim was to keep the sheep safely contained while protecting the waterways from stock access.

A great example of how good fencing can make a difference, not just for managing stock but for looking after the land and waterways too.

And you can't complain about having views like these while you're working! 🌿

📍 Horahora, Waikato | September Project

Another fencing job completed in September, this time installing a double gate and timber rails across a farm raceway in Horahora.

The aim was to give the farmer better control when moving stock around the property, while still allowing plenty of room for tractors and other heavy machinery to get through.

A simple, practical setup that makes day-to-day farm work that little bit easier!

Another tidy job completed by JB Rural Fencing.

📍 Arapuni | September Fencing Project 🚜

A couple of smaller fencing jobs completed in Arapuni during September, working alongside Burton Fencing again!

First up was installing some simple timber rails and a gate around a water tank, keeping the area nicely fenced off while still allowing easy access.

We also replaced an old gate and strainer with new ones, finishing the job off with a few timber rails at the end.

Nothing too complicated on this one, but sometimes it's the smaller jobs that make all the difference! A tidy finish and another couple of jobs ticked off the list. 👍

Whether it's a full fence line, a new gate or a few repairs around the farm, no job is too small.

📍 Roadside Boundary Fencing | Hodderville, South of Putāruru 🚜

Not every fencing job is straightforward, and this one certainly kept us busy!

Back in August, we were working alongside Burton Fencing on a roadside boundary fence for Hodderville Farmers, just south of Putāruru.

We installed an 8-wire fence, including 2 electric wires, but getting the posts in was the real challenge!

With hard sandstone in places and sections the tractor couldn't reach, there was plenty of hand digging to be done. A bit of extra hard work was needed to get the fence line finished.

Cold, frosty mornings, some tough digging and a tidy fence to show for it at the end! 💪❄️

📍 Lifestyle Block Fencing | Tīrau

Back in August, we were working alongside Burton Fencing on this lifestyle block in Tīrau.

We put up an 8-wire fence, including 2 electric wires, using galvanised wire clips on the inside of the curved sections to help keep the wires in place.

A nice tidy job, following the shape of the land and keeping everything looking sharp! 👌

🐑 Sheep Yard Extension | Putāruru

Another job completed at the end of July! 💪

Working alongside Burton Fencing again, we were back at the same property in Putāruru, this time extending the existing sheep yards.

The job involved installing new post and rail fencing, gates and raceways to improve the layout and make stock handling easier.

Another solid job ticked off, and great to see it all coming together! 🔨

📍 Putāruru | July 2026

Another great project completed alongside Burton Fencing!

This job involved building purpose-built fertiliser storage bins using solid timber posts and 6x2, 6-metre rails.

We also installed steel gates to keep stock out of the storage area.

A strong, practical setup designed for everyday farm use.

Another great team effort with Burton Fencing!
