We are thrilled to share a few more event photos for 'What Ties Us Together' a new collection recently shown at London Fashion Week by Rory William Docherty

To present the designs in New Zealand Rory Docherty his partner Jordan Draffin created an immersive space with vintage Mr. Bigglesworthy and new furniture pieces from our gallery by Karimoku Case OMK 1965 Omann Jun Ercol Furniture and cambarrettart.

As with all his collections Rory starts the process with a drawing which was shown, framed in the space with additional paintings by John Reynolds and Karl Maughan.

We are delighted to be included with such high caibre fashion and art to create this wonderful experience for invited guests. Congratulations Rory on your latest success 🙌

Furniture has a quiet but important role at a gathering. A chair offers somewhere to pause; a table gives people a place to come together. Bringing contemporary and vintage pieces into Rory’s presentation added another set of materials and proportions to enjoy alongside the clothes.

Our photographs catch some of those relationships. Warm timber sits beneath a framed drawing. The open frame of a chair leaves the garments beyond it in view. On the shelving, folded textiles and tied footwear sit beside glass and ceramics, making a small conversation between objects usually encountered in different settings.

For us, supporting Rory William Docherty is a chance to contribute to the creative community we enjoy being part of.

Laguz – a household weight in cast iron designed by Swiss-French designer Julie Richoz for Nedre Foss. The name Laguz refers to the l-rune from the Older Futhark alphabet – a letter representing the element of water; intuition, emotions and the subconscious.

Originally conceived primarily a book-end, but it could really serve any purpose throughout your home wherever you need a little extra weight. The N-DT01 Dining Table is one of twelve tailor-made furniture pieces that make up the first collection of Karimoku Case, the Kinuta Terrace project, all drawing on the natural references of the connected courtyard in an attempt to invite in nature as much as possible – in their design language as well as through their material compositions.

Playing with the balance between light and heavy elements, the dining table is dimensioned like the branches of a tree – making it appear paper-thin from some angles and more robust from others. Available in 4 finishes / sizes and as a desk from Good Form.

Sirkel (Norwegian for circle) is a tealight votive that plays with the transparencies of glass. A large ring of opaque colour is suspended by a smaller cup of almost-clear glass.
