പ്രിയ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ,
പലരും ലക്ഷങ്ങൾ മുടക്കി വീടുപണി തുടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ തറയുടെ ഉറപ്പ് അഥവാ മണ്ണിന്റെ ഘടന പരിശോധിക്കാൻ (Soil Test) വിട്ടുപോകാറുണ്ട്. ഒരു കെട്ടിടത്തിന്റെ ആകെ ഭാരവും താങ്ങി നിൽക്കുന്നത് അതിന്റെ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ ആണ്. മണ്ണു പരിശോധന നടത്താതിരുന്നാൽ ഭാവിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായേക്കാവുന്ന ചില വലിയ അപകടങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചാണ് ഇന്ന് നമ്മൾ ചർച്ച ചെയ്യുന്നത്:
🏚️ 1. ചുവരുകളിലെ വിള്ളലുകൾ (Structural Cracks):
മണ്ണിന്റെ ഉറപ്പ് കൃത്യമായി മനസ്സിലാക്കാതെ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ ഡിസൈൻ ചെയ്താൽ, കെട്ടിടത്തിന്റെ ഭാരം കാരണം മണ്ണ് താഴേക്ക് ഇരുന്ന് പോകാനും (Settlement) ചുവരുകളിൽ വലിയ വിള്ളലുകൾ വീഴാനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്.
💰 2. അനാവശ്യ ചിലവുകൾ ഒഴിവാക്കാം:
മണ്ണ് നല്ല ഉറപ്പുള്ളതാണെങ്കിൽ സാധാരണ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ (Rubblemasonry / Belt) മതിയാകും. എന്നാൽ പരിശോധന നടത്താതെ പേടി കാരണം അനാവശ്യമായി പൈലിംഗോ (Piling) ബെൽറ്റുകളോ നൽകി ലക്ഷങ്ങൾ കളയുന്ന അവസ്ഥ ഇതിലൂടെ ഒഴിവാക്കാം.
🌊 3. ഈർപ്പവും ഒഴുക്കും കണ്ടെത്താം:
മണ്ണിനടിയിലെ വെള്ളത്തിന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യം (Water Table), ചെളിമണ്ണിന്റെ അളവ് എന്നിവ കൃത്യമായി അറിഞ്ഞാൽ മാത്രമേ അനുയോജ്യമായ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ രീതി (Belt, Footing, or Piling) ഏതാണെന്ന് എഞ്ചിനീയർക്ക് നിശ്ചയിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കൂ.
