Our palette obsessions right now are warm, grounded and deeply layered.

Caramel and to***co. Burnished and golden, with the glow of worn leather and late afternoon light.

Earthy reds. Terracotta, oxblood and rust bring warmth and depth, and they sit beautifully against natural stone and timber.

Light blues. Soft, airy tones that cool a room and make every warm neutral feel richer.

When a palette is this considered, nothing needs to shout.

Which of these would you live with?

A country cottage in the west of Ireland, lovingly restored and reimagined for family life.

We had the pleasure of taking this home from interior architecture and design through to a complete turnkey finish. Soft colours, natural oak, patterned tiles and an antique marble fireplace bring warmth and character, with thoughtful spaces for everyday living.

What a pleasure to breathe new life into this cottage and create a haven for the family who call it home.

Harbour House. A study in contrast.

In the kitchen, soft white inset cabinetry, a waterfall island in quartzite and herringbone oak underfoot set a calm, luminous tone. Brass-lined pendants catch the harbour light, while antique copper, weathered timber and a framed botanical add the quiet layers that make a home feel collected over time.

Step through to the butler’s pantry and the mood shifts entirely. Deep forest green panelling, a vibrant orange artwork and encaustic-style tiles create a space that feels intimate, unexpected and entirely its own.

Every detail was considered, from the aged brass tapware to the hand-selected pieces that give each room its story. This is a home designed to be lived in and loved.

For me, it’s the little details that help a house feel like a home.

For episode three of my styling series with , I’m back at the beautiful Annamult House in Co. Kilkenny, exploring how thoughtful styling can help people imagine themselves living in a space.

A few flowers from the garden or a table set for supper can suggest the moments that make a house a home: friends coming together, a family celebration or a quiet evening in.

I always like to work with the character of a property, bringing out what makes it special while adding warmth and a sense of everyday living.

Ultimately, it’s about creating spaces where you can walk in and picture yourself feeling right at home.

My amazing sister-in-law Grainne Glynn made this beautiful silk outfit for me 🤍 The pale blue corset with the olive trousers… I’m obsessed with these colours together.

There’s something so special about wearing something made just for you, especially by someone you love. So much talent and care in every detail. Thank you for making me feel amazing 🤍

A day spent at The Decorative Fair London is a day well spent.

We are drawn to pieces with a past. An antique cabinet with its patina intact, a vintage lamp with a quiet confidence, a mirror that has watched a century of rooms come and go. Original pieces carry a character that cannot be replicated, and they bring a depth to an interior that no new piece can match.

For us, a truly considered space is built in layers: the new alongside the old, the refined alongside the storied. The pieces we find at fairs like this often become the soul of a project, the detail that makes a room feel collected rather than decorated.

Grateful to the dealers who preserve and share these treasures, and inspired as ever by the craftsmanship of the past.

Moments from Tide House.

We were involved from the architecture phase, which let the interiors grow out of the building rather than sit inside it. Warm woods ground each room. Natural marble and stone echo the landscape beyond the windows. Antique pieces, like the gilded mirror and the Regency hall chair, add depth and the sense that the house has always had a story.

Calacatta Macchia Vecchia in the bath, tumbled stone underfoot, brushed brass catching the light. Every material chosen to age beautifully.

Some rooms stop you in your tracks the moment you step inside.

We are delighted to share episode one of our new styling series with , filmed at the beautiful Annamult House in Co. Kilkenny.

In this first episode, we step into our favourite room in the house and look at the details that caught our eye straight away: the generous proportions, the soft natural light, and the architectural character that gives the space its quiet presence.

At Geri Designs, we are always drawn to homes that tell a story. Annamult House is a wonderful example of where history, character and considered design come together.
