Take a closer look at one of our APL Award winners. This property has won in two categories!

We’ve done it again; our projects have won at the APL Awards in not one but five categories. These awards celebrate the UK’s best landscaping projects, recognising exceptional design, craftsmanship, innovation and professionalism across the landscaping industry.

This is one of them; a soft landscaping project (all plants supplied by ). The client had a natural pool installed to the rear of the main garden in a neglected paddock area and commissioned us to design and plant a natural and calming scheme with a Mediterranean style that would soften the hard landscaping. We planted in Prairie style drifts to create a soft, flowing space where plants spill over border, creating a tranquil sanctuary.

Key plants used to create this look are Stipa tenuissima (Mexican Feather Grass), Erigeron Karvinskianus (Mexican Fleabane), Verbena bonariensis and Rudbeckia. The feature tree is Pinus sylvestris ‘Watereri’ (Scots Pine).

Meet our APL Award winning projects. From dated to dazzling this is a truly modern garden transformation. When our clients purchased this property in a prestigious Berkshire village, they envisioned replacing the dated house with a striking contemporary home for their family. The garden needed to rise to that same ambition. Our designer, Helen worked closely with the client to bring their request to life. The result - this garden drags the 1970s, kicking and screaming, into the present day. Gone are the mismatched shrubs, the neglected greenhouse, and the sense of disarray. In their place stands a space that is crisp, confident, and unmistakably modern.

Big announcement, we are triple APL Award 2027 winners! We are grateful for the recognition as it reflects the care and thought we put into every space we create. Most importantly, it’s a gentle reassurance that when you use our services you are getting the best.

If you’re looking for immediate results, a semi-mature tree is an excellent choice, providing instant structure, screening and visual appeal that would take a sapling years to develop. We source all the plants we use from our own nursery in Twyford ᴛʜᴇ ʙɪɢ ᴘʟᴀɴᴛ ɴᴜʀꜱᴇʀʏ

Dark fences and Corten steel make the plants pop. Green hues always look more vibrant against a dark backdrop.

Summers are changing, and creating natural shade in our gardens has never been more important. We are currently collaborating with our clients' builders on a project in Nettlebed, where we've just installed four beautiful Morus alba 'Platanifolia' roof pleaches. These will form part of a stunning reclaimed York stone patio, providing a natural, living canopy and a cool, shaded space to enjoy throughout the warmer months.

To help them establish and thrive, the trees will be irrigated using a drip irrigation system, an efficient watering method that remains permitted during hosepipe bans.

We submit some of the gardens we create for industry awards because we genuinely care about the work we do and want to keep giving our clients the very best. Having our gardens reviewed by independent judges helps us learn, grow, and refine our craft and when a garden is recognised, it feels like a shared celebration of the ideas, trust, and collaboration that shaped it. For us, awards aren’t about showing off; they’re about honouring the care we put into each space and reassuring future clients that their garden will receive the same thoughtful attention.
