Happy Halloween everyone. Personally I'll be pleased when its over. Spent 10 minutes this morning in the cafe asking Emma Louise Wright for a coffee till I realised I was chatting to a statue

Went to deliver some wood to a customer but when I got to the address, their gate was locked. Not wanting to leave it on show, I figured if I hopped the fence, I could get it round the back of their house, out of the way. The fence wasnt particularly tall but it was only mid straddle that I realised the ground of the other side was slightly lower. As I lowered my other leg to the floor, I became accutely aware just how close my delicate regions were to what I had merely dismissed as innocent looking decorative finials. All of a sudden, they were more of a Vietnamese war trap and one wrong move or slip, there'd likely be some watery eyes inhumane screeching and quite probably a highly embarrassing trip to A and E

Left my diary unattended on the counter, and some kind soul has taken it on themselves to write in it and arranged me what, to be honest, sounds like quite a lovely evening

Popped to Greggs and wife asked for either a CHEESE AND SALAD baguette or a vegan sausage roll. Pretty simple instructions. Even rang her from Greggs to check she still wanted the CHEESE AND SALAD baguette. Got it out the fridge, put it on counter, paid for it, put it in bag. Got home and somehow the bloody things only turned itself into bloody HAM AND CHEESE on the way home. Probably wouldn't have have been that big a deal, except being a vegetarian, shes not a massive fan of ham. Ffs

Seem to be over the worst of the near fatal manflu. I don't think I'm being over dramatic in saying it was touch and go whether I would make it through the other night but now the moaning and groaning is down to a bare minimum, family have now been allowed to leave my bedside and air ambulance has departed
Anyway, got down to the path for a couple of hours before work. Was quite cold and dark when we started, so to amuse myself I decided to create a giant grass snake, ending up about 30mtrs! Yeah, I know, I'm easily pleased and don't get out much🤣
The rest of the guys stayed after I'd left, and by the sound of it, I had a lucky escape cos the other side of the path fought them all morning, but I had a drive down after work and looks like they've done a cracking job
the GFS Inititiative

Only started with a bit of sniffle but unfortunately gone downhill fast. At this point, unsure if I'll even make it through the night so this may well be farewell.
The symptoms show no signs of improving, and already been googling funeral services in preparation for the inevitable. The wife, however, seems pretty unconcerned about the whole situation, showing no signs of sympathy or patience with my moaning and groaning, even going so far as telling me to stop being a wuss and shut up moaning on. I'm only pleased that she'll never experience the truly horrific illness of MANFLU!

Had a week off last week, Andrea was away (which I was pleased about cos I had a hangover🤢) but back there this morning. 4 of us been there with the GFS Inititiative , and although some of it was hard going, we've got a lot done and taken another chunk out of it .
Also, my back really hurts now🤣

Got to do a delivery but didn't recognise the address so asked Jack cos he'd taken the order.
So, he explained. Go straight through the town, past anything that resembles civilisation after you've passed the last derelict building, eventually you'll see a gate that leads up a single track lane and you'll find a caravan in a field. That's where it is.

Yeah mate, and a good chance that's where one day they find my remains. Almost literally the plot to the Hills have eyes

Earlier this year a good friend asked if we would like to sponsor Crook NGT AFC Juniors Magpies and earlier this evening, i had the chance to go down, see the lads in their kits and watch them do a bit of training. Nice group of lads and really good for their ages as well!! Somehow, got chucked in goal for a bit. I thought I'd have half a chance against 9 year olds, turns out I'm no Jordan Pickford! but all good fun. Good luck to them in their game on Saturday and for the rest of the season
