During & after the storm, be alert to:
⚠️ Trees leaning more than usual or suddenly changing position.
⚠️ Fresh cracks in the ground around the base of a tree.
⚠️ Large, hanging or broken branches caught in the canopy.
⚠️ Split trunks, cracks where major limbs join the tree, or visible structural damage.
⚠️ Roots lifting from the soil or the root plate moving.
⚠️ Trees or branches that have fallen onto buildings, vehicles, access roads or fences.
Heavy rain can soften the ground, while strong winds place additional strain on branches, trunks and roots.
