Spanish architecture studio. At AMES, architecture is conceived as a dialogue where beauty and function exist in perfect harmony.

We design homes shaped by clarity, balance, and enduring coherence.

A home shaped by the land, and now an award-winning one.

Casa Miami has been named Best Architecture Single Residence Spain at the European Property Awards 2026–2027. Each level follows the rhythm of the hillside and steps back to create shade, open up the views and make room for the landscape around it.

Architecture that belongs to its setting.

A special thank you to Casas Fintech for trusting AMES with the architectural design of this project.

AMES THINKING | Designing with the Sun.

Morning light finds its way into the kitchen, where the day begins.
As the sun rises, life moves outdoors. Long afternoons unfold by the pool, with architecture creating just the right balance of light and shade.
And as the last rays reach the bedrooms, the house settles into the evening.

A home that follows the sun, naturally.

What makes a house feel timeless?

Different spaces. The same principles.
Light that shapes the architecture. Materials that age with character. Proportions that feel naturally balanced.

Beyond function, into atmosphere.

A bathroom can be more than a room. This unbuilt concept explores a softer, more immersive way of living, where architecture, landscape and atmosphere are experienced as one.

A vision of what AMES can imagine, shape and bring to life through design.

Every home we design starts here: a table full of sketches, material samples and good conversations.

Light, texture, ideas shared out loud. This is the AMES studio, where architecture begins as something we feel together, long before it becomes a place someone calls home. Behind every project, a team that loves what it does.

Behind AMES | FROM SKETCH TO VISION

A pencil. A cup of coffee. Hundreds of decisions. Every project begins the same way: with an idea worth drawing. A private villa in Montúa, Marbella.

Then, it takes shape. Light, landscape and water begin to find their place. The line becomes atmosphere. A private villa in Montúa, Marbella.

And then, the moment the whole team falls silent. From the first sketch to the final vision, a home designed to be lived, not just seen. A private villa in Montúa, Marbella, designed by AMES.

BEHIND AMES | From Material to Architecture 01 — Wood

Wood changes a space before you even touch it. Its grain brings movement. Its repetition creates rhythm and order, until a simple surface becomes a frame for the view.

How can a large-scale residence feel light?

At Villa Siena, AMES uses horizontality, materiality and cantilevered elements to introduce depth, shade and rhythm into the composition. The architecture reduces its visual weight, creating a more fluid relationship between interior, exterior and the surrounding terrain.

AMES EYE | John Lautner

What if a house didn’t simply sit in the
landscape, but became part of it?

In John Lautner’s architecture,
boundaries begin to disappear. Roofs
extend into the horizon, interiors open to
the landscape, and the site becomes
part of the experience of the house.

It is this way of thinking that catches our
eye.

A way of seeing that still feels remarkably
relevant today.
