We spent years in banking before this. Good years, stable ones, the kind nobody tells you to walk away from.

What we did not have was a reason to look forward to a Monday.

Design gave us that. Not in a dramatic way. In the quiet way of knowing that what you spend your hours on actually changes how someone feels in the place they come home to.

A calm home makes a calm life more possible. We learned that on ourselves before we ever offered it to a client.

A living room that holds Sunday warmth is not an accident. It is a series of very deliberate decisions.

Blue and white, because some combinations never need to be reconsidered. Deep navy velvet gives the room weight and makes it feel held. Crisp white wall panelling behind it keeps that depth fresh, calm, and open.

Mirrored surfaces to bounce whatever light the afternoon gives you, which matters more than people expect in a Toronto home between October and March.

Round tufted ottomans instead of a second armchair, so the seating can move when guests arrive and tuck away when it is just you.

Then the small things. Patterned cushions, stacked books, a swan on the table. Layers that make a room look lived in rather than installed.

Blue and white has outlasted every trend for a reason. It just has to be planned with intention.

A few days in New York, and my camera roll is all ceilings, tiles and light 📍

This city mixes old and new so easily. A café that feels like it hasn’t changed in fifty years, and a few blocks away, travertine walls, velvet and soft sculptural lighting. Every corner had something to notice.

Travel always refills our creative cup, and this trip was no different ✨

Trusting the process sounds like a nice phrase. In practice it looks like something much more specific.

It looks like saying yes to a sofa shape you have never had before. Sitting with an empty wall for three weeks because the right piece is still in transit. Letting the palette stay soft when the instinct is to add colour somewhere.

Our job is to hold the whole picture while a client is only seeing one room at a time. That gap is where the doubt lives, and it is completely normal.

Then the last cushion goes down, the lamps come on, and the plan finally reads the way it always did on paper.

This is that moment.
