Framing milestone in Niagara Falls!

Our 500-square-foot rear addition is taking shape as exterior and interior walls go up. With the engineered LVL and wood I-joist floor system locked down, our carpentry team has framed the perimeter walls and installed a high-performance Canadian sheathing product: Isolofoam Isobraced Air+.
Why is this a game changer?
In conventional framing, wall studs act as "thermal bridges"—transferring outside winter cold straight through the walls and into the home. Isobraced Air+ integrates continuous rigid EPS insulation, structural OSB, and an engineered weather barrier all in one panel.
By running continuous insulation on the outside of the studs, we stop thermal bridging, eliminate drafts, and create an airtight building envelope designed specifically for cold Ontario winters.
Up next: setting engineered roof trusses and stick-framing the roof tie-in into the existing house to achieve full weather-tight lockup.
Stay tuned for more updates on this multi-generational build!
