Daylight time ends the night of Saturday, October 31, so Sunday, November 1 is the first evening the GTA goes dark before most people are home. Timers on interior lights, a working exterior fixture and glass that holds are the three low-effort things worth sorting this week. Ravine and trail-backing lots across the GTA are sold on glass — walls of it, on the least visible side of the house. Those elevations are the hardest to overlook from the street and the easiest to leave unprotected. This client kept every sightline and treated the rear glass only. Film is applied to the interior face of the glass, so cold outdoor temperatures don't stop an install — indoor conditions are what matter. The one real difference is cure time: the adhesive can take a few extra weeks to fully clear in winter, and slight haze during that window is normal.
