Why does root removal so often get scheduled in the fall? Roots are still actively growing, and the ground is still easy to access. 🍂
1️⃣ Tree roots are actively seeking water in the fall, so intrusion is often at its worst
2️⃣ Unfrozen ground makes excavation or equipment access straightforward if it's needed
3️⃣ Clearing roots now means starting winter with a fully open line instead of a partially blocked one
Once the ground freezes, both diagnosing and physically accessing a root problem gets harder.
A lot of the backups we see in early spring trace back to root issues that went unaddressed the fall before. 🌳
