Ever wonder why a stump looks like a heart or a perfect "V" after a tree comes down? What you're looking at is a highly tactical technique called a V-cut (or Coos Bay cut).
When we are removing a tree in tight quarters—like right next to a brick building—precision isn't just a goal, it's a non-negotiable.
How it works:
* Directional Control: The deep "V" acts as a steering wheel, forcing the tree to fall exactly where we want it.
* Anti-Kickback: The interlocking shape prevents the butt of the tree from kicking backward or snapping off the hinges unpredictably.
* Safety First: It gives our climbers and ground crew maximum control over the timber from the second it starts to lean until it hits the ground.

Storm Bay Road 🌲 — another tree job for the UTS crew. This giant White Pine was already leaning hard before the storm pushed it right to the edge of the roofline. With zero room for error, the United Tree Service crew went to work fast.
Turn the sound up and watch the team absolutely smash this delimbing operation. From surgical canopy cuts in the bucket truck to a non-stop hustle on the ground, we stripped it right down to a bare stem.
Shoutout to the hardest working crew in the game for stripping the tree and clearing the zone in record time. Stage 2 stem takedown awaits!
