🏡 FREE RADON TEST KITS — AN IMPORTANT STEP IN PROTECTING YOUR FAMILY!
Have you heard? The Government of New Brunswick has made free radon test kits available through participating public libraries! If you haven’t tested your home, this is a great opportunity to get started.
Why is radon testing so important?
Radon is an invisible, odourless gas that can enter your home through the foundation. You can’t see it, smell it or taste it, and the only way to know your home’s radon level is to test. Long-term exposure to elevated radon is a leading cause of lung cancer.
✅ Take advantage of the free testing program if kits are available in your area.
✅ Follow the testing instructions carefully.
✅ If your results show elevated radon levels, don’t panic — there are effective ways to reduce them.
What happens if your results come back high?
That’s where we can help!
At Radon Defence, we provide professional radon mitigation to help homeowners reduce elevated radon levels and protect their indoor air quality.
We’re proud to serve Carleton County and surrounding communities, helping local families take action against this invisible threat.

Invisible threat. Visible protection.
🏠 Test your home. Know your numbers. Protect your family.
Free radon test kits are now available at public libraries across New Brunswick.
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can enter homes through cracks in foundations and gaps around pipes. About one in four New Brunswick homes may have levels above Health Canada's guideline.
High radon exposure increases your risk of lung cancer, and since radon is invisible, odourless and tasteless, testing is the only way to know your home's level.
Testing is easy:
✅ Place the kit in your home and leave it undisturbed for at least 91 days.
✅ Return it to the library to be sent for analysis.
✅ Get your results in 4 to 6 weeks.
