Tree removal is a team effort.
A safe and efficient removal isn't just about cutting the tree. Our crews have to consider the trees direction, surrounding properties, access, equipment placement and how each section will be handled once on the ground.
From the first cut to final cleanup, every part of the job is planned and coordinated.

Every job is different. Every tree has a plan.
Contact our office if you think your tree may require removal.

From overgrown to open 🌳

Sometimes the goal isn't simply removing a tree - it's improving the overall space around it.
This area had become heavily overgrown with competing trees, brush and vegetation. Our crew cleared the area, opening it back up and creating a cleaner, more usable space.

Fall Tree Check: 5 signs to call an arborist before winter 🍂

Before the leaves come down, look for hanging limbs, cracks, sudden leaning, decay at the trunk, and branches over your roof or driveway. Not every concern means removal - but a professional assessment can identify the safest next step before fall storms and winter weather arrive.

Contact Ottawa Valley Tree Experts to schedule an assessment with an ISA-certified arborist.

🍂 Fall Yard Cleanup: What to Do With All Those Leaves?! (Without Harming Your Trees) 🍂

Here are some ideas to keep fallen Fall leaves helpful, not harmful:

✅ Mulch thin layers on the lawn - Run a mulching mower over dry leaves once or twice a week so pieces fall between grass blades.

✅ Use leaves as free mulch in beds - Shred and spread a 5–8 cm layer around shrubs, perennials, and young trees to insulate roots and feed the soil.

✅ Keep leaf piles away from trunks and foundations - Don’t mound leaves directly against tree trunks or house siding; leave a small gap to reduce rot and pest habitat.

✅ Make Leaf Mould for next season - Store shredded leaves in bins, bags, or a simple wire cage to create nutrient‑rich leaf mould for spring planting.

Notice something that doesn't look quite right while doing your Fall clean-up? Don't hesitate to reach out to our team for a quick tree-health check. Message us or book a free estimate today.

🌧️ After a wet growing season, your trees may need more than just sunshine.

With 700+ mm of rain falling across Ottawa from April through August, prolonged moisture can put stress on tree roots — especially in compacted or poorly drained soils.

WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR?
🍃 Yellowing or thinning foliage
🍂 Premature leaf drop
🦠 Leaf spots or fungal growth
🌱 Standing water around the root zone
🌳 Branch or twig dieback
⚠️ Wilting despite wet soil

Is your tree showing signs of stress? Give it a closer look.
If your not sure, call our office and we will send an Expert out.

Fall has arrived in Ottawa and the Valley! 🍁🍂

Before winter snow and ice roll in, give your trees the care they need to stay healthy, safe, and looking their best.

Your quick fall tree-care checklist:
✅ Pruning: Remove dead or weak branches now to reduce the risk of breakage under snow and ice.
✅ Leaf clean-up: Clear heavy leaf piles from lawns and around tree bases so grass and roots can breathe.
✅ Root protection: Add a fresh layer of mulch to help retain moisture as the ground starts to freeze.

Not sure what your trees need this season? Our ISA Certified Arborists can assess your property and create a plan that keeps your landscape safe and beautiful all winter long.
