🎃 Halloween weekend is almost here, Calgary! Are your windows and front entrance ready for all those little ghosts and goblins?
With plenty of trick-or-treaters expected to be out and about, here are a few simple ways to keep your home safe and welcoming this Halloween!
👻 Keep walkways and entrances well-lit so trick-or-treaters can safely find their way to your door.
🎃 Clear driveways and pathways of decorations, cords, leaves and anything that could cause someone to trip.
🍬 Keep pets safely indoors and away from the front door to prevent unexpected escapes or startled visitors.
🕯️ Choose flameless candles! Use battery-operated LED candles in your pumpkins and window displays instead of real flames. Keep decorations away from curtains, blinds and other flammable materials to help prevent fire hazards.
😖 Check your door closers. A storm door that slams shut too quickly can catch little fingers or pieces of costume. Make sure your door closes gently and safely.
Whether you're handing out candy, heading out with the kids or enjoying a quiet evening at home, a little preparation can help make Halloween safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
From all of us at Western Windows, have a safe and Happy Halloween weekend ahead! 🎃
