Here’s a breakdown of what went into this install:

✅ Comprehensive Air Sealing – Thoroughly sealed all exterior walls, along with interior top and bottom plate penetrations, using elastomeric caulking and one-part spray foam to help minimize unwanted air leakage.

✅ Dense-Pack Cellulose Insulation – Installed dense-pack cellulose throughout all exterior walls, providing excellent thermal performance, improved sound control, and a tight, consistent insulation system with minimal voids.

🏡 Another Quality Insulation Project Right Here in Winthrop, Maine! 🔨

The Apollo Insulation LLC crew just wrapped up Phase 1 of a two-part insulation installation right here in our hometown of Winthrop!

For this project, we’re focusing on creating a tight, energy-efficient building envelope while making sure every inch is properly insulated!

✅ Thorough Air Sealing: We started by carefully air sealing the home using one-part spray foam and elastomeric caulking, targeting penetrations, framing joints, and other potential air leakage points.

✅ Exterior Wall Insulation: Our client opted for R-22 TimberBatt insulation throughout the exterior walls! This wood-fiber insulation is a great option for homeowners looking for high-performance insulation.

✅ Dense-Pack Insulation: As you’ll notice in the photos, certain wall cavities were dense-packed to ensure complete coverage around intricate HVAC line sets and major electrical runs. This helps eliminate insulation voids and minimize thermal bridging!

✅ Interior Wall Insulation: We also installed a combination of TimberBatts and blown-in insulation throughout the interior walls to help improve sound control and overall comfort.

🔜 What’s Next? Phase 2!

We’ll be back in a few weeks once drywall is installed to complete a thorough air sealing of the attic plane, followed by the installation of R-60 blown-in cellulose insulation!

🔨 We’ve Been Quiet… But We’ve Been BUSY! 🔨

Sorry we’ve been a little radio silent on here lately — it’s our busy season, and our crews have been hard at work bringing some awesome projects across the finish line!

We just wrapped up a full insulation package on this new construction home, and we’re incredibly proud of how it came together.

A few highlights from this project:

🏠 R-21 Closed-Cell Spray Foam throughout all exterior walls

🔥 3,700 SQFT of Radiant Barrier

🌱 6,800 SQFT of Cellulose & Insulmesh, including:
• R-60 in the attic areas
• Full-fill cellulose in the floor systems
• Dense-pack cellulose in all interior walls for added sound control

💨 Extensive air sealing, ventilation detailing, and much more!

Projects like this are where doing things right from the beginning really pays off. This home is going to be quiet, energy-efficient, comfortable, and built to perform for decades to come.

This new construction camp is now fully insulated and built for maximum comfort and efficiency. We completed:

✅ 3” Enverge closed-cell spray foam on the main floor
✅ Whole-home ERV system tied into every bathroom exhaust fan
✅ 2” closed-cell spray foam on the foundation walls and rim joists
✅ R-49 insulation throughout the flat attic and cathedral ceilings
✅ Complete air sealing of all framing with elastomeric caulking

Another great Day 1 in the books for the Apollo Insulation team! 💪

Today we installed 3” of Enverge closed-cell spray foam throughout the main floor of this beautiful new construction camp. We’re also installing a whole-home ERV system tied into every bathroom exhaust fan to provide balanced, energy-efficient fresh air year-round.

Next up:
✅ 2” closed-cell spray foam on the basement foundation walls and rim joists
✅ R-49 insulation in all flat attic and cathedral ceiling areas
✅ A complete air seal of all framing using elastomeric caulking for maximum efficiency
