Our Director of Education Partnerships, Dr. Chad Higgins, is kicking off The Doorway's new education-focused blog series titled School of Thought!

Today, we've published the first blog in the series, "The Bifurcation Point,” the story of how an old gymnasium changed the way Dr. Higgins thinks about leadership, school, and the spaces we create. Take the time to read this heartwarming and comedic take on how new school project impact communities they serve.

Designing a space is just the beginning… seeing students enjoy it is the real reward!

Our team thoughtfully collaborated with the school district to cultivate a learning environment that would inspire children to not only grow in their education, but also their imagination.

Today we're throwing it back to 1971 with some photos of the Coleman Company Factory and Warehouse.

While it may not be the most architecturally interesting, it sure is an interesting piece of Wichita history!

YMCA facilities are about more than just a place to exercise! They’re places where communities come together.

The Orr Family Sky Trail & Avery Pavilion at Twin Lakes Family YMCA is a great example of this. The newest addition to the site features a ropes and climbing adventure course, a flexible event space, and a deck overlooking the adjacent pond.

Designed for adventure and connection, this addition strengthens YMCA Camp Twin Lakes as a community hub.
