I had an idea for this plastic planter… and I wasn’t sure if I could pull it off!

I’ve been wanting a large vintage pottery piece for a while now, but if you’ve ever looked at the prices of them, you know they’re not cheap! So I decided to try making my own!

I used a little texture and paint to give this planter that beautiful aged look, and I’m so happy with how it turned out! I love that I was able to get the look of vintage pottery without the vintage price tag!

Comment PLANTER and I’ll send you the links to all the supplies I used for this project!

And I have another plan for this planter! I’m hoping to use it for my Christmas tree this year, so stay tuned to see how that turns out!

What do you think? Would you have guessed it was plastic?

I love creating spaces that feel collected, layered, and timeless, and this new Obelisk rug from the Jeremiah Brent x Loloi collection fits that style so beautifully.

The subtle texture, unique notched corners, and carved border give it just enough detail without overwhelming the space. It’s hand-tufted from 100% wool, and I love how it adds warmth and character while pulling everything together.

What do you think of this rug? I’m especially loving those corners!

He wanted a bigger TV. I wanted artwork. So we found a way to have both!

Anyone else have this same decorating dilemma?
My husband had been wanting a larger TV in our bedroom, but I wasn’t loving the idea of having an even bigger black screen on the wall. So we came up with a compromise that would give him the bigger TV he wanted while still keeping the look I wanted for our bedroom!

We decided to turn our new TCL A300L Designer TV into a piece of framed artwork by making a custom DIY wood frame and finishing it in a beautiful gold color. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

What I love most is that when we’re not watching TV, it actually looks like a piece of artwork. The matte screen gives it that realistic painting look, and with over 100,000 artwork options and an AI art generator, I can change the artwork to match our decor, the season, or even my mood! I even created a custom Halloween print!

And here’s a little tip if you’re going for that realistic artwork look: try lowering the brightness to 30. It makes such a difference and can help reduce energy use, too!
Now he has the bigger TV he wanted, and I don’t have to sacrifice the look of our bedroom. I’d say that’s a pretty good compromise!

Who says you need a custom-built home for a custom look?

Instead of paying for upgrades upfront, we transformed our builder-basic house ourselves—one project at a time. Custom trim, built-ins, accent walls, and other DIY updates have made our home feel uniquely ours.

There’s still more on my list, but it’s amazing to see how far we’ve come!

It’s such a beautiful piece and the price can’t be beat!

I think I can officially call the greenhouse DONE!

This little greenhouse has been such a fun project from start to finish. We built it as a family, added the checkerboard paver floor (still one of my favorite details!), and now I’m finally putting the finishing touches on it.

I sealed the concrete pavers with BDC Brands | Home Improvement Concrete Sealer to help protect that checkerboard floor, and then came the part I’ve been waiting for… adding the plants and string lights.

Seeing everything come together at the end makes me love this little space even more — especially when those lights turn on at night.

For now, I’m calling it finished, but really this is just the beginning because next spring I want to fill this greenhouse with vegetables, herbs and anything else I can convince myself I need to grow.

So help me plan ahead—what’s the FIRST thing I should plant in here next spring?
