Since it’s been Christmas since August, I thought we’d take a commercial break for a fall moment. 😂

Fall is so brief, and I’m not quite ready to say goodbye just yet, so consider this my little tribute to the season before it slips away.

There’s something special about that fleeting golden light before the early dark—the anticipation of what’s to come mixed with an appreciation for what’s already been.

So before the garland comes out, I’m giving fall its moment. 🩶

And if you’re still decorating for fall—or want to tuck away a few ideas for next year—comment FALL and I’ll send you the links to my fall home finds.

🚨 Way Day ends TONIGHT—and we all know the good stuff at Walmart has a habit of selling out the second everyone finds it. 😅

So if you’ve been waiting to make a few updates at home, I would not sit on these.

I rounded up some of my favorite Wayfair + Walmart home deals, including several pieces at historically low prices—from rugs and bedding to furniture, lighting, pillows + those finishing pieces that can make a room look so much more expensive than it was.

And because sometimes the product photos are doing these pieces absolutely NO favors 😂, I styled a few of my favorites so you can actually see the potential.

Way Day ends tonight + Walmart finds can sell out fast.

The internet told me not to buy brass gallery rails on Amazon. 😆

But I wanted to add a little more character to these shelves without spending a small fortune—and I found all the pieces I needed on Amazon for about $40 for all FOUR shelves.

I’ve seen people use superglue to attach gallery rails like these, but that level of permanence made me nervous. Instead, I used museum dots to secure the finials and rods. It took a little finagling to get everything sitting straight, but the whole project was still surprisingly quick—and nothing is permanently glued to my shelves.

For $10-ish a shelf? I’m calling this one a win.

Dark at 5 PM is coming whether we like it or not. 😩 But spending the next few months feeling like we live in a cave is optional.

This is the time of year I lean HARD into layered lighting—table lamps, sconces, rechargeable lights and warm little pools of light anywhere that starts feeling dark and gloomy once the sun disappears.

Because good lighting doesn’t just help you see your house. It changes how your house feels and how you feel in it.

👉Save this for the dark days ahead. And if you want a link to anything you see,
👉comment LIGHT and I’ll send it your way.

Did you know you can just… add panes to your windows?

After revisiting some school math 😅, my basic windows got a little French flair—and this was honestly one of the fastest, easiest updates I’ve made.

The hardest part was the math—The actual install? SO simple.

These custom window grids are from , a family-owned business that makes them to fit your existing windows—no replacing perfectly good windows required.

And this is just the beginning for this little breakfast nook. New window treatments, a rug, brass shelf rails, an old chandelier getting a second life, and possibly my most ambitious DIY seating hack yet are all coming.

👉Comment PANES and I’ll send you the details. And follow along because this room is about to look very different. 👀

We needed more than just prettier curtains-we needed my windows to work differently for the way we actually live now.

Adding sheer curtains + blackout curtains on a double curtain rod has given us something I didn’t realize we were missing: options.

☀️ Daylight without giving up privacy
🌙 A darker, quieter room for sleeping
🤍 A softer, more finished look
🪟 And somehow, a window that actually feels bigger

But my favorite part? I can open the blackout curtains, leave the sheers closed, and let all that beautiful filtered light into my bedroom without having to look at the construction happening right outside.

This is one of those upgrades that made me wonder why I waited so long.

My curtains were gifted by Homerilla, and they gave me a code for you: JON23 gets you 23% off—and it can be stacked with their current sitewide promotions:

✨ $100 off $399+
✨ $200 off $699+
