Weekend Sawdust Report, Walnut Ridge Creations
Tis the season! 🍂
Living in what sometimes feels like a small forest has its advantages. Beautiful scenery, plenty of wildlife, and more leaves than anyone should reasonably have to deal with. Every fall brings 40-plus hours of gathering, hauling, yes I actually track this.
This weekend was another balancing act between shop time and outdoor chores. Leaves were gathered, more rock was moved and spread, and a few more things got checked off the list before winter arrives. The dogs supervised, although their definition of helping seems a little different than mine. They seemed to focus more on treats for some reason.
We did manage another day in the shop, even if it meant burning a little midnight oil. Construction on all six sets of bag boards is officially finished! Four sets are already spoken for, leaving two available. If you’re interested in a set, or know someone who might be, send us a message. Once the stain and finish are applied, we’ll share some pictures of the finished boards.
And Mother Nature provided a couple of pretty impressive shows between sunrise and a brilliant full moon.
Winter is getting closer and with it comes more time in the wood shop. Until then, we’ll keep chipping away at the projects and the outdoor chores.
The difference is, at least in the shop, when I clean up the sawdust, the trees don’t immediately make more of it.
