Interior Designer Austin, NOLA & beyond, virtual, will travel
http://www.maureenstevens.com Hello everybody! Thanks so much for checking out my page.

My name is Maureen Stevens. Here's a little bit about me:

Details are my passion. From curating vignettes to decorating spaces. I thrive in finding the finds and just discovered the art of collecting...all while sipping on a cafe au lait & a french macaroon in hand. I'm what you call a newbie as far as interior design. This year, I started some props and set styling for local magazines and people. I've been blessed as well to do some event styling for the best event firms in Austin and staging for some very awesome realtors. I do adore collaborating! I also run an online shop for urban cottage decor called The Inglenook Decor...loving both the clean lines of an urban loft and the nostalgia of a French-inspired space. I write...I ponder...I create, and having fun at the same time. I'm so grateful for the follow & please don't hesitate to ask me anything...anything!

My takeaways and design notes from 🇮🇹

10/29/2026

Every room at our Esplanade project was designed to feel like stepping into another era, and this doorway sets the tone.
We wrapped the walls in Cole & Son (Wallpapers) Ltd cloud wallpaper for a soft, surreal backdrop, then opened onto a space that leans fully into Art Deco glamour. There are custom Art Deco appliqués across a deep teal ceiling, a Palmette Italian Murano glass fixture, and a Chinese Art Deco rug with faded rose and celadon tones.
Tying it all together are the custom doors we dreamed up with the talented Fisher Kelly Renovations paneled, gilded, and the perfect shade of butter. First look of many from this project! ☁️✨

Tell me you’re an interior designer without telling me you’re an interior designer 🙋‍♀️😅

Busy weeks have me reminiscing 🍂 This 2013 home office in Austin, designed for a close friend, was one of my first projects. Those earthy greens and warm woods feel made for fall.

Calm materials, collected details. Personality belongs in every corner.

The best spaces feel like they were always meant to be. This nook is full of color, character, and our client’s personality, and getting to create it together, as a team and with her, made it the best kind of project 💙.
