Repurposed bed frame from the 1880s.

Another Nashville family heirloom project done. This bed frame is from the 1880’s, and has been passed down through the family for generations. Now it can serve for another generation or two as a beautiful bench to be used as extra seating for a local home Bible Study.

If you look closely at the front board of the seat, (what used to be the sideboard of the frame) you’ll see where the wood has worn from people stepping into the bed each night.

We love using as much of the original material as possible when we do these types of projects. A small section of the foot board now tells the details of the story for the future family members.

To make the bench seat wide enough we added one piece of walnut and then added dental trim underneath to finish it off.

The dental trim tells a story itself as it is a leftover trim piece we had from the old Lifeway Building in downtown Nashville. How sweet to tie these stores together.

This walnut live-edge table with epoxy is almost ready for the final poly. We’ve added temporary legs, which are the perfect height for a coffee table, but I think it will make an amazing desk for someone. Let us know if you’d be interested in this product, it’ll be ready for a new home in just a few weeks!

This multi-drawer rolling cart is ready to be delivered. A very custom cabinet includes red felt lined drawers, and removable top, making this another one of our unique projects!

Meanwhile the epoxy table is curing, and two more family heirloom projects will begin today.
