Thinking about painting or staining that brand-new deck? Hold off before you break out the brushes!

New pressure-treated lumber needs time to dry out before it should be painted or stained. Applying a coating too soon can prevent proper absorption and adhesion, leading to peeling, flaking, and a finish that won't last.

Give that new wood time to dry, and you'll get much better results when it's time to protect and beautify your deck!

We sanded it down, primed it, and finished it with two coats of paint for a smooth, clean, durable finish.
