Dear Potomac Station Residents,
This is a reminder that the Invasive Species workshop hosted by the Open Space Committee will be on Sunday, June 22nd from 9 AM to 12 PM.
The purpose of this workshop is to help residents identify and remove invasive species, including the Tree of Heaven. This fast-growing tree, native to China, spreads aggressively and supports the spotted lanternfly—another destructive invasive that damages crops and trees.
The workshop will be held near the tot lot across from 19004 Panther Court and will teach participants how to spot and safely remove these species.
If you did not get a chance to register before and are interested in participating please complete the registration form found here
**This event is not suitable for children under the age of 18 because we will be using herbicides.
NOTE: Participants will be working with herbicides. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses and nitrile gloves) will be provided.
We look forward to seeing you there!
**IMPORTANT SECTION 10 PARKING POLICY INFORMATION**
At the May 29 Board of Directors meeting, the Potomac Station Board of Directors approved Resolution 2025-01: Rules and Regulations Relating to Vehicle Parking in Section 10 (Doyle Ter, Edmonton Ter, McArthur Ter, Legrace Ter, Twintree Ter, and Planters Ter). If you need a copy of the resolution, please check your email as one is attached to the email blast that was sent out, additionally, the front office can provide.
This resolution was adopted in response to ongoing feedback from residents and management concerning the shortage of available parking and the presence of unauthorized vehicles, particularly those belonging to individuals from neighboring communities.
Under this new policy, any vehicle wishing to park in Section 10’s common area parking spaces must be registered and display a valid permit in the interior window on the passenger side of the car. All households in Section 10 will be issued two parking permits, each tied to a specific registered vehicle. Permit numbers will be uniquely assigned to correspond with each registered vehicle.
Residents who require additional permits may submit a request to Management. These requests will be reviewed by the Board of Directors during their monthly meetings. To be eligible for a permit, vehicles must have current registration and a valid safety inspection. Vehicles prohibited under the Association’s Declaration and Resolution 2018-01 are not eligible for permits.
Homeowners hosting overnight guests must request a guest parking pass, available either in person at the Potomac Station Clubhouse or electronically through Parking Boss which will be the online system that will be utilized for the registration of resident permits and guest parking permits.
Further details including when registration will open and issuance of decals will be provided in an email-blast in the very near future.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.
Sincerely,
Potomac Station Board of Directors
