Big, Big thanks to and for all their help today with tilling and laying out the landscape boarder and being my support system. I would not be as far along as I am without them!!! Friends that garden together are the best ever!!!

Built and painted a new patriotic flower box 🇺🇸 finished just in time for the 4th of July!

My poor little tree, I know it’s going to get laughed at…it’s the funniest looking tree in the neighborhood 😂
The center limbs have died. But I wanted to give it one more year to try and pull out if it’s funk. So I got myself a little chainsaw and gave it a good trim of all the dead stuff. Now some fertilizer and we will see what happens.
If you can, say a small prayer for my poor little tree…

Another project checked off the ‘honey do’ list…painted the post, put up a new mailbox and added the house number!
This has been a month of doing all the small things and a few big things. And one by one I’m getting them done.
How many more can I get knocked of the list before the end of the month? 3 more days…..

FYI: by ‘honey’ I mean me…I’m the honey🙋‍♀️ that does the list😂

Got a few more spaces cleaned up last night. Transplanted some plants from the backyard to the front and side, new mulch and it’s looking better!

Busy…but productive day today. I’m so ready to get back to my passion of renovating, painting or staining furniture and home decor.
My studio shed was a mess from everything being poked in I didn’t have much room to work. So after last nights tight work space I spent part of the day cleaning up this space. Cleaned all the furniture, 21 pieces and then sweeping , knocking down cobwebs and I organized it kinda in order of how I want to work on the pieces.
Started stripping a couple of desk tops tonight and I now have half of this building to work in.
I call this a win.

PS. I have 17 more pieces of furniture in my storage unit🤦‍♀️ so I have plenty to work on.

We’ve been cleaning and organizing this mess of a studio and Daisy was ready for an ice break. It’s hot out but getting this place set up for more room to paint and be able to turn the air conditioning on!

After the spilled paint fiasco last night I have finished the dresser. It’s going to look cute in my little vintage guest bedroom. I’ll post a final reveal when the room is done.
Now fingers crossed I can finish up the stool/bedside tables with the paint I have left.

This is what happens when you don’t tighten the lid down after the first coat…and pick up the paint by the lid🤦‍♀️. $28 a pint …you scrape as much back into the jar as you can and then quickly throw on the first coat of paint on a stool. Good thing the first coat always looks like cr..
I’m painting a dresser and 2 stools to use as side tables in my guest bedroom and now I pray I have enough paint to finish. Or I will need to make a trip to the store.
Oh well, just got to laugh at myself😂 and clean up the tools that got in the way!
