1988 wasn’t exactly the decade of playing it safe. and that’s what made it so good.

pink lighting. marble floors. oversized chandeliers. mirrored walls. a staircase made for dramatic entrances.

every room had something to say, and nobody was worried about being too much.

friday nights meant having everyone over, playing your favorite records, and turning the entire house into the place to be.

somewhere along the way, we decided that less was more. the colors disappeared, the furniture got quieter, and every room started looking the same.

but maybe the best interiors were never the ones that followed all the rules.

they were the ones that made you feel something.
